About - Jordan Beane for City Council District 2 ★ Beane 2018 ★

From One Arena to Another

Despite his career success, Jordan realized that he could no longer stick to sports.

There’s too much work to be done in his adopted hometown to leave for Los Angeles, too much at stake in 2018 to stick to sports.

It’s time to get off the sidelines and get in the game, starting in District 2.

Environmental Action

Jordan has become a tireless advocate for the environment – from growing milkweed to help struggling monarch butterfly populations, taking part in beach cleanups and volunteering with ReWild Mission Bay – and he hopes to bring a green-focused agenda to City Hall in 2018.

Environmental issues aren’t the only problems Jordan wants to tackle. From homelessness to affordable housing, encouraging green jobs and protecting those most vulnerable, Jordan will be a new progressive voice focused on serving you, not his biggest donors and political benefactors.

District 2

San Diego, a city hungry for progress

Friendly faces. Distinct neighborhoods. An enviable way of life. San Diego is California’s postcard to the world. Yet move aside the stereotypes, dig a little deeper, and you’ll see a city that’s more than just beaches and palm trees. It’s a city full of energy, ready for change and hungry for action.

America’s Finest City has come a long way from being the piggy bank of Richard Nixon and the launching pad of Pete Wilson. It’s a blue city that’s starting to realize it’s potential at a critical time in our nation’s history. Cities, not states, are now the true laboratories of democracy. Places like San Diego are where progress will march on, regardless of what’s currently happening at the federal level. Cities are leading the way in celebrating diversity, promoting sustainability and protecting our most marginalized.

San Diego is ready to for the future, and Jordan Beane is ready to ensure his adopted hometown reaches its potential.

Community Action

Since moving to San Diego in 2012, Jordan has become more engaged in our community with each passing year. Besides his current seat as a director on the Pacific Beach Town Council, he’s also a member of the Pacific Beach Democratic Club, the San Diego County Democrats for Environmental Action and the San Diego County Young Democrats Club.
